I've seen 'OBO', which means 'Or Best Offer,' meaning the guy is running a bit of an auction.

How true are the wheels and crankpins? If clearance is good and the bearing sockets are tight, the only thing I can think of is wobble ...

Why do you need rubber mounts for the quickshifter?

There are probably more 4DP / 4TW cases on this side of the pond than 3XV ... *sigh*

So you have a 2-stroke liquid cooled twin. 4-stroke twin up to 700cc? Nope. 4-cyl up to 500cc? Nope. Air-cooled twin up to 1000cc? Nope. Single? Nope.
Nothing ambiguous about it - the TZ250 isn't...

List updated in first post.

The tach is directly connected to your left coil; any internal shorting, and it's grounding out your spark!
-
Check the frame ground bolt and wire.

My search-fu is clearly weak this day. Can you provide a link to the crank pin?

I was doing some reading a little while back (on a different topic) when I found myself reminded of these, and did a little more research. I have to say, for as clever as Honda can be with some...

The piggy-back logger would be fairly cheap ($30-40), but would only be able to log those values that the ignition uses (RPM, TPS, spark advance, retard vs knock, etc), and I'm out of ADCs for things...

Thank you for the info - greatly appreciated.

Hi, Dan.
The squarebore 250s changed carbs as well; they sure do look like the Kehins used on the 125s! (shrug)
Anyway - at the top of the carb is a little brass (?) elbow screwed into the carb...

RSCycles and TSO.US.com still have the conrod; neither seems to have the pin. Oddly enough, Yam changed big-end bearing and washers when they went to the 54x54 engine with the 125, but the 250...

Could I ask some kind soul with Keihin carbs on his '99+ 250 for some measurements? I'm looking for the thread size on the cable spout, the cable diameter, and the length & dia of the button on the...

Pure2strokepirit is back, with a slightly different URL. They have the '92 D service manual and all 4 years of parts books here

The 4TW4 uses the same valve, holder and shaft as the 4DP1, but uses the new pin 93604-26256. With an MSRP of US$1.09, stock up and buy a few for your friends! ;)

Thanks for the explanation - glad to hear I'm doing it the right way!
I'm looking at an open-source logger for a variety of projects; I need to do some testing and confirm it will work...

According to the EBC online catalogue, you want FA145 for organic, EP145HH for sintered, for the '89-01 TZ250s.

Speaking of kit harness, I would appreciate it any 250 riders with a kit harness could comment on any extra bits. I know about the 0-7 selector and the yellow wire going in at the top-right pin of...

That would be great - thanks! PMs sent to you both.
The connectors for the 4DP harness have arrived; just waiting on the wiring ...

Of course. Spark is spark, whether it's from an OEM box, kit box, or a programmable box. If my ignition makes more power with the same curve, there's something wrong with the OEM box. If the OEM box...

Yes, and/or Canadian riders, since I'm up here. I will be doing basic bench testing on the alpha prototype, then a reality check for timing offset etc with a local fellow who has a 4JT. There is a...

The price will almost certainly be over US$330; my disdvantage vs my competition is that I have to buy my components from the wrong side of what was the Iron Curtain ... ;) I do hope that the...
