thankyou for your reply,I was thinking low 40's too.It is a fresh motor,I tried race unleaded with the stock head,squish at 0.8mm,(should that be more for unleaded?) it gave around the same...

What squish clearance would be optimum with unleaded fuel?
Just checked mine and it is 0.95mm - 1.05mm or around 0.039",seems big to me,but I am used to running Avgas.
