Had the same problem, helicoil didnt work for me... you have to use two per hole.
I tapped out to M8 and used stailess capscrews, looks neat too.

PM sent, but no reply yet.
Are the front discs stamped with "For closed circuit use only" ? as the TZR road bike discs are almost identical.

I use expandable rubber bungs to block off the end of the chamers..The type they use for recreational boat bilges, they come in all sizes. The pressure is very low.

Pressurise the camber to 3 to7 PSI. (depending on wall thickness) Use heat, play the torch around the edge of the dent in a circular motion and it will move out.
Reduce the circles until you get to...

I see you are in Spain, the 1200 you are asking, would it be US$ or Euros ?

I have a 3YL converted to 4DP and blew the gearbox big time last weekend... the new parts will cost more than the bike is worth. How much are you asking ??

A Lear jet would do the trick...you live in an unfortunate time zone, great 250 race today at 12 noon, beer and barbeque...
Then again you score at Laguna Seca....

Thanks Vince,
So by that I take it that the TZ has full floating rotors
and that a " reasonable amount " of play is normal ??
Geoff.

My TZ 250B rotors have a (measured) 3.1mm sideways play at the rim and around 1-2mm radial play.
I do have a couple of TZR 250 3XV bikes in my collection and the rotors appear identical in every...

Not sure on that, But someone else out here will know.!
I only measure the squish with solder on the inner bit.

You weren't supposed to see that green stuff. I was using a track day for running in, so there was no formal scrutineering.
Our rules are the same regarding glycol....

Vinny probably has the answer, I removed the head today and the bolts had pulled the thread right out on 4 bolts, the head is now actually slightly bent.
The cylinder was being run in after...

Somewhere in this forum, I read of a guy who found his cylnder head in his belly-pan..
This happened to me today.. A loud bang, lost a cylinder and coolant pouring out....
-
Ok. Got the message....left myself wide open there.
I now also replace the gudgeon ( wrist ) pin regularly after this !! Cost a a cylinder and complete crank rebuild, not to mention the head etc.

The hone marks are still visible on most of the cylinder, I guess I should inspect the pistons after every race and cut the replacement interval down..... changing pistons after only 3 race meetings...

This topic may end up saving me a lot of money.
I run 4DP-00 barrels graded "C" with 4DP-02-C pistons, and have had one major blow up with the skirt dropping off, and been lucky enough to find...
-
Dale, maybe you could help by explaining some of your American expressions.. I know about Squish band and squish clearance, but an expression that increasingly crops up is " Deck Height" which going...

I will send you some info tomorrow, Jools ! http://www.tz250racing.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Was that perhaps a ZX 6 you were doing battle with ? If so you didn't shame yourself !!

Thanks for the info guys, Unable to test the bike until the next race 16/17 June...Dale, on checking the plug caps I found the bike fitted with shortened Bougicord supressor cables and caps off a...
