    4DP with JollyMoto

    a d v e r t i s e m e n t

We have just treated our '92 4DP bike to a set of JollyMoto pipes. They are significantly different from our previous stock exhausts being a good 8mm or so fatter overall at the largest cone. They come with tuning inserts for "acceleration, top end power, mid-point". The inserts lengthen the pipe at the silencers by about 20mm and variously reduce the outlet to the silencer pipe. For starters we have chosen acceleration, i.e., no insert. We are looking for jetting suggestions for our first outing in late February.

The JM pipes look like a great option with the ability to be able to change power characteristics as you have described. Sounds like you have a lot of testing to do!
I had considered these pipes for my 3YL so I'm interested to hear how you go.

    Good luck

You might want to check that you can get the rear wheel in and out easily when the right side exhaust is fitted. If you run quite a long wheelbase you should be OK but as I run on the first mark of the adjuster the bigger exhaust made wheel changes a problem. Solution was to alter the bracket/space it out but depending on your chassis set up you may not need to do this.
