Guy, I did a quick search and found some about yamabond. But, which yamabond do you use for the reed boot and which for the engine?

Also, do I really have to take the engine off or can I do a top end with the engine on the frame?

    thanks!

This is a real race bike man!
Not only can you do a top end with the engine in the frame,
You can replace the crankshaft without removing the main case from the chassis.

This is not your fathers street bike.

Yamaha Bond #4 is what you want.
There has been some discussion that Yamaha USA has discontinued it.

I just went through this (looking for discontinued Yamabond #4). What you need is ThreeBond liquid gasket #1104. This is the same stuff as the Yamabond.
