    Hi, as GrahamB said they're not meant to idle which is why there are no idle screws on the carbs, the only time I've known a TZ to idle is when it's had a sticky throttle cable.

    I also understand they're meant to run resistor plug caps and it's important that they are fitted for the good running of the bike, and Ive never had a TZ run well with the needle anywhere other than in the factory set position.

    Actually my 93 would idle... but only because someone had drilled a hole in the slide. The idea was to stop it from seizing at the end of a straight, the idling was a side effect.

    I never realised it would until I was selling it, the guy trying it out just let the throttle go expecting it to stop and it didn't

    It is not suppose to idle.Street bikes idles but not real race bikes.Selling it?.
