How Many 3YLs were Made?

Was wondering how many 3YLs were made? specifically how many in Australia, but generally how many in total. Keen to know given its such a transition model 1st vtwin but the frame was changed after only 1 year, making it unusual in Yamaha land.

I'm assuming there were at least 333 because my frame and engine numbers ended in 333 (it may still be going round race tracks in the UK for all I know.....) In reality it's probably either been tucked away in someone's garage for years or been recycled!!

Mine is 341

Yamaha VIN numbers start at 000101 for each model, so 000341 is actually the 241st bike made.

Yamaha changed thir models greatly around this time, producing a completely different bike nearly every year.

The 1988-9 U/W, 1990 A, 1991 3YL and 1993 4DP are all pretty different.
