    I know this thread is a bit old, but Castrol A747 is not a mineral-based oil. Castor oil comes from the castor bean so it is actually a vegetable-based oil. That is a large part of the reason why its storage conditions and shelf life should be closely watched.

    Other than that, my main reason for using A747 is the awesome smell!
