Unfortunately July 4th is not in the cards. Have a great weekend!

Why dont you bring the travelling circus to Brainerd for a nostalgic round, Bruce?!

One year later and there is some indication that there may be as many as 5 or 6 TZ250's this year on 6/5-7 at Road America in AHRMA Open 2-stroke. Greg Glevicky will be there on our '92. It's shaping up as our best field of the year. ....with Grattan a week later.
With some coordination at registration, we could agree on our up class and do it twice each day.

Well, when you have apples v apples, you find out how you are really running. There were 4 TZ's at RA this year. Our '92 4DP, Jeff Stokoe's '98 4TW, Darrell Myers '94 4DP, and Geoff Maloney's '01 5KE. The result was that we discovered that while we were running well enough to deal with the regular AHRMA RD's and RZ's, we were way down on power to hang with the other TZ's finishing 4th on Saturday. Rain on Sunday reduced the field in Open 2-Stroke to us and Jeff where our horsepower deficit persisted for a 2nd on a drying track. We remain convinced that it is better to loose to a 5KE than to beat RD's and RZ's.
Altogether our combined outing to RA and Grattan the following weekend had us doing a total of 412 miles on track undoubtedly overextending our top end. Subsequent engine swap revealed a likely disconnected left power valve, an as yet undiagnosed water leak, a very dirty bike, and the value of carrying rain tires. This is the second time we have done this combined travel and it is the best outing of the season for us. Consider joining us at an AHRMA event as we are all vintage now. On to possibly NJMP and definitely Barber. Always looking for a TZ field.
