please enlighten me: what is "rolands website"? the url, please. i have to see this and reconcile how a guy without a computer is suddenly web-savvy.

and, i'm going to make one last attempt to 'show you the light' here, then its back to ignore:

WE (you, me, anyone else still kookie enough to race these lovely bikes) NEED people like RSC, Bruce Lind and other folks that can help us keep our chit going. when you have the opportunity to help support these guys in their effort to support us, THAT is helping us all keep the flame burning. THAT is supporting the community. THAT will help you go racing. THAT will help you 'get out on the track'.

trying to end around them, not so much. particularly, as you allude, on such a trivial bit.

try and let that sink in. I assure you these guys arent making $hit off of us. and, incidentally, had you taken my advice initially and just CALLED ROLAND, he probably would have just told you everything you needed to know to do it yourself (plus another 2hrs worth of info that would have blown your gord). but you were fixated on being cheap about it. Now you bought another new spool, for likely more than you would have paid to get one fixed, and you only succeeded in kicking the can down the road.

ps: in the archival depth of your 30 posts, im curious how many have been focused on "helping a fellow TZ racer get out on the track". it's sadly ironic that was the sure intent of my initial post here.

    My two cents.

Rolland has done more than most to put and keep people on these bikes over the many DECADES he has been at it!
