all you guys with kit tz 125's

    a d v e r t i s e m e n t

I recently installed a kit 250 power valved cylinder, Kit ECU, Kit Pipe and Kit Wiring Harness, on my 95 tz 125 with a 2000 engine. I removed the smoothing condenser and added a battery. I have no cycling of the power valve and no clicking at the power jet. The bike has the old style kill switch. The loom has a brown male wire connector and a red female wire connector, perfect combo for the newer style engine stop off run switch. Are these connectors for the new engine stop off run switch?

I think you need a proper on off switch as its the 'on' function that cycles the powervalves and solenoids.

I would put the old loom back and take the battery off ! Tried it with mine and it runs better with no battery etc. Standard Yam is good . Just my opinion !

I've token some chances with the red and brown wire. I discovered that they do function as a on and off switch when connected and disconnected. So I will order a switch off a 250. The kit ignition had the chip in backwards. So now I have power going to the power jet and the servo motor but still no spark. I've diligently cleaned the chip posts male and female. I'm thinking the chip or the cdi unit has gone for a ship. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way I've got spark from both my stock 2000 cdi and the old 1995 cdi as well as all other functions that go along with them.
