...i smell a trophy...
Help! - Setting recommendations (carb, ignition, etc.) - headed to race in Colorado
a d v e r t i s e m e n t>
Here are my standard settings for racing in Michigan/Ohio/PA region (~800 ft elevation, typical humidity 50-90%)
MJ 360 - 400 (~90F down to ~45F)
NJ R6 - R7 (~90F down to ~45F)
PoJ - 60, don't change it much ever
PiJ - may have to search (17.5, 20 or 22.5, can't find it right now)
I'm going out to race with my brother at High Plains Raceway in Colorado in August. Elevation ~5,200 ft, temp 75-95F, humidity 10-20%.
My basic calculations suggest that I should be targeting
MJ 310-320.
I suppose I start with 330, then 320 and see.
Any other recommendations? Lower NJ any (R5 or R4)? Any adjustments to ignition timing or squish or anything like that?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Richard

...here I go again...
That sounds pretty reasonable to me. What date are you going? They have Friday track days I might like to try .

leaner jetting across the board, including nozzle and pilot. i dont change the PoJ.
you can also use a tighter chamber.
was at HPR just after it opened and it was really fun. enjoy!
