This is still vapourware at this point, but I have a few thoughts about what I want to do, and I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions on what you'd like to see.
Planned Features:
Plug 'n' play with 4DP / 4TW / 5KE and 4JT
• No cutting, splicing or crimping
• Compatible with 'extra' pins etc on Kit and 5KE4 harnesses
• Ignitions for earlier models will be available with mating connectors where possible
o Connectors identified for 3YL, 3TC, 3LC
o Customer input needed to confirm lead lengths
o Compatible with AC-CDI charging coils on earlier models
• On-board Bluetooth
• Tuning software useable with PC, laptop, or smartphone
Ignition:
• 12 x 12 3D map, fully interpolating, TPS vs RPM
• Input switch to swap between Map1 and Map2
• 3-position Map1 adjust (points inside the curve; ie 13,500 point on 5KE WGP map)
• Offset right cylinder timing vs left
• Retard on knock; adjustable threshold
• 50% spark cut ("4-stroking") on closed throttle [ndwedwe]
• Override PJ to reduce knock (if cut) [dand]
Auxiliary Systems:
• Power Jet Solenoid
o On/off or modulating, 8-point curve vs RPM
o Input switch to change PJ maps
• YPVS
o Cleaning cycle at power-up
o Guillotine-type - open / shut at adjustable RPM (9000 per ’02 5KE3)
o 5KE4 barrel-type modulating YPVS - 10-point curve vs RPM
• Shift Light at adjustable RPM
• Quick Shift with adjustable spark cut time
• Launch Control with adjustable launch limit
o Prevents engine from revving past set point while clutch is pulled
o Allows rider to hold throttle wide open, concentrate solely on clutch
External Components:
• TPS – bolt-on, in design
• Shift Light – bolt-on to standard instrument bracket
• Quick Shifter
• Switch Cluster - compatible with YEC 0-7 Selector
• Launch Switch
• SD Card Logger - in design
• Knock sensor, mounting adaptor and processor module
