Hi Tyenoodle, would it be possible to take some more detailed photos of the light coloured induction coil, please. Need to see the number of plates in the core, and the wiring. Does it go from that coil straight off to a two pin plug, with white leads?
And this question to anyone who knows: as this coil is basically the battery, with rectifier/regulator, do you think it could be possible to run a rechargeable battery pack instead, as per the W?
Thanks Andy

I've realised that I've probably photographed the wrong coil there!
I'm back at the workshop soon if you need any more.
As for your battery query, I'd have thought the ignition should run off a battery if you're unable to source a coil, it's only providing 12vDC as you would get from a battery pack.

Hi Paul,
Thanks very much. Photos are fine, as it shows both coils have the same size core. I can see the black coil is same as mine with the green/red wires, so assume the lighter coil has the white ones. Agree that without the white coil it should just run with a battery, which may be why it's missing, and when bought, came with a battery pack. Thanks for your help, Andy
